Egis has been working in Romania for more than 20 years, providing engineering and consultancy services in road and rail transport sectors as well as water and environment, energy, urban development and other institutional advisory services.

As we continue to grow, we are looking to expand our team. We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Economist to join us to support our expansion.

Job description

The job of Economist will require someone able to:

▬    Prepares and monitors the forecasted budget for the company

▬    Tracking budgets for projects, areas, departments

▬    Follows the contracts of the subcontractors on each project/progress of working

▬    Project reviews, retrieval of accounting databases

▬    Allocates expenses to projects.

▬    Distributes the revenues and expenses of JVs

▬    Monitors and adjusts the reconciliation of accounting in Romania with accounting in France/Deal/E-report

▬    Follows and updates the workload and salary costs on projects

▬    Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports

▬    Prepares/tracks cash inflows/outflows (cash-flow)

▬    Track ongoing contracts and related payments

▬    Implements and applies the procedures of the integrated quality and environment management system, according to the requirements of the SMIQM documents.

Profile

We recognize that each applicant will bring different experience, but the ideal candidate will have:

▬    Preferably minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar role

▬    Knowledge of accountancy policies and procedures

▬    Experience in audit/quality management is a bonus

▬    Good spoken and written English

▬    Strong computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft applications – Excel advanced).

▬    Good organisational skills and experience of working as part of a team

▬    Flexibility and adaptability

▬    Integrity and confidentiality.
