Job description



  • Taking responsibility for all aspects of corporate and project document control and records management including establishing and implementing policies and procedures, managing document control operations and, planning for enhancements.
  • Establishing and maintaining an efficient & systematic electronic document management system including workflows. 
  • Leading in coordination functions, issues of the electronic document management systems with the service provider.
  • Developing written document control procedures to ensure system efficiency and updating the procedures as they evolve.
  • Taking responsibility for the proper delivery and filing of all documents (electronic and hardcopy) intended for the project and ensuring all enclosures (manuals, CDs, etc) are attached. 
  • Managing and providing guidance and training for  a large team of Document Controllers.  
  • Liaising with different departments in arranging for training of personnel to ensure proper utilization of document control systems.
  • Providing periodic reports (users reports, log reports, status reports, etc) to the Project Controls Manager. 
  • Taking the lead in corporate audits in relation to document controls. 
  • Managing and providing guidance and training for  a large team of Document Controllers.


  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in handling bigger projects
    Experience in working with Project Management Consultant
  • Prior experience with Aconex, Share Point, Primavera, ProjectWise or other document control software and MS Word and Excel.
  • Good in Document log and register management and Document status reporting.
  •  Ability to manage a team of Document Controller.
  •  Manage the distribution, Matrix.
  • Experience in Project initiation and closeout in terms of Document Management.
  • Able to Prepare the Document Control Plan, Procedure, Guidelines.
  • Able to review Contractors and Consultant Document Control Plan, Procedure, Guidelines.
  • Experience in providing Training to Jr. DCs, Project Team, Contractors & Consultant.
  • Prior experience organizing, managing, and operating document control systems.
  • Ability to retrieve, organize and assemble documents to satisfy information needs of other project staff.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, both orally and written, including written reports and summaries, and presentations
  • Excellent, attention to detail, analytical skills, interpersonal skills, ability to multitask ,experience with vendor audits.
  • Flexible to relocate to any location in Saudi Arabia including Remote location.
