Within the Consulting & Operation Business Line (BL), expertise in the operation and maintenance of transport infrastructure and mobility services is grouped together in the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Service Line (SL), which develops the operations and maintenance strategy and supports the group's four regions in the deployment of the service offering associated with this strategy.

 

The Operations and Maintenance Service Line is structured around 4 activities: Road, Airport, Rail, Mobility and is currently looking for a Director of the Road O&M activity.

Job description

Operational excellence. The aim is to accelerate the transformation of the O&M companies (more than 37 motorway projects in over 20 countries representing an annual turnover of 240m€) by developing and deploying an ambitious and robust set of processes, KPIs, measurement tools and operational and financial reporting.  The transformation plan will be co-piloted with the Director of Transformation and is an essential part of the Road O&M Director's mission.

 

Review and adjust BL's strategic orientations in relation to the Route O&M activities and translate them into adjusted medium-term projections broken down by geography.

 

Participate in the upstream commercial activities for the O&M Route business in conjunction with the Regions, the BL Commercial Director and the other BLs and in line with the associated strategic orientations.

 

Leading the preparation of complex offers and mobilising the key expertise required for the production and success of these offers, whether this expertise is in his/her team, in SL or in the regions; ensuring compliance with the internal processes for the production / review / validation of offers (budget, quality, deadline).

 

To manage projects on behalf of regional BL directors (and at their request) and to ensure that the service offering is deployed with the same level of requirement and quality in all regions ("Egis signature") thanks to skills deployed at the right level.

 

Promote innovation and the differentiating elements of the O&M Route offer, in conjunction with the Director of Innovation and Transformation, in particular by ensuring a technology watch and by promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in the offers and in the operating phase.

 

Promote the O&M Route service offer in conjunction with the Marketing and Communication functions in order to provide the Egis international sales network with the promotional material required to develop the activity.

 

Management of the Road O&M team (setting objectives, leadership, skills development, recruitment, etc.) in close collaboration with the other teams involved in the development of the Road O&M business.

 

To adapt and contribute to the animation of a capitalization system of the O&M Route activity articulated around business communities, participation in events dedicated to the capitalization and sharing of best practices within the SL and the regions. 

 

The Director of the Road O&M activity will have a global vision of all the key expertise available in his/her team and in the different regions/projects (Egis staff, partners, subcontractors, etc.). He/she will be responsible for the management of this expertise and for ensuring that this expertise remains at the highest possible level.

Profile

·     Experience in managing operations and maintenance activities for road and motorway networks (toll roads), ideally in the context of PPP/concessions and demanding urban environments

 

·     Practical and successful experience in the deployment or optimisation of industrial processes oriented towards operational excellence (lean/six Sigma, agile method, continuous improvement, etc)

 

·     Understanding of the challenges of managing transformation, ideally implemented in practical situations

 

·     Excellent collaborative and leadership skills to lead the O&M Route team in a logic of transformation and performance improvement and to organise, stimulate and steer the preparation of bids and the monitoring of projects in progress;

 

·     Rigour, "results orientation", ability to plan a realistic action plan, to measure its progress and to communicate it clearly;

 

·     Excellent oral and written communication skills (including quality of materials) in both French and English.

 

 

The position reports functionally and hierarchically to the Director of SL O&M

The future employee who will occupy the position described undertakes to comply with the main principles of Egis as described in the Codes of Ethics and in the Human Resources Management Code. He/she also undertakes to act in accordance with the internal and local rules that apply within his/her company and with the occupational health and safety processes.
