In the UK, we are delivering some of the most iconic projects which help connect people, protect our environment and meet emission reduction targets. We work in the transport and energy sectors, providing consultancy, engineering and operations services for clients such as major airports, governments, regulators, cities and rail and road operators.

Connect Plus Services (M25 Joint Venture) is undertaking a digital transformation to align with its business strategy and wider M25 community vision. The Digital strategy and roadmap of projects requires this role to provide support and take the lead on individual initiatives for the digital delivery programme. Specifically, this role will look to embed this digital transformation in the M25 DBFO and coordinate with the parent company digital transformation teams.

Job description

  • To become familiar with the various business streams of the digital programme and projects that will enable the business to implement the digital programme
  • To follow the standardised approach to CPS digital initiatives, as defined by the Digital PMO
  • To support change working with people and process to enable the success of any digital solutions
  • To work with the IT Systems and business teams in alignment with identified priorities and a plan of implementation
  • Work towards the identified strategic objectives through embracing collaboration and teamwork

 

This position can be based out of out South Mimms / Dartford / Leatherhead, however we welcome flexible working

This role is available part time, job share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full time.

 

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of smaller digital transformation projects or workstreams
    Adherence to the technology project delivery methodology, including development of key project artefacts, as required
  • Mindful of all commercial processes in conjunction with the Digital PMO
  • Regular updates on progress made and status reporting to the Digital Projects team
  • Capturing key project / workstream benefits in conjunction with the Digital PMO
  • Observing and learning from presentations to the CPS Change Board
  • Awareness of project finances and engagement with the Finance team, via Digital PMO
  • Identification, reporting and tracking of portfolio risks, issues and dependencies.  Escalating to Digital Delivery Lead as required

 

Experience/ Skills required

  • Prior experience running small/ medium sized change projects
  • An understanding of project/ programme benefits
  • Understanding of Governance forums
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with key stake holders, with the ability to obtain buy- in to new and innovative ideas
  • Prior experience developing key documentations for projects/ workstreams
  • Confident shaping ideas and contributing to business case development
  • A solid understanding of digital technology and its application
  • Some exposure to management of external stakeholders would be beneficial but isn’t essential .
