J.B.Barry and Partners currently require a Drainage  engineer who has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. You will be a vital part of the team and will be helping contribute to the continued growth of J.B.Barry and Partners. You will be taking a lead role on projects and will be reporting to Associates, Associate Directors and Directors.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a  Drainage Engineer. J.B.Barry and Partners  is one of the  Countries leading Civil Engineering Consultants, and has recently been acquired by the Egis Group. The J.B.Barry/Egis Group currently has over 16,000 employees, and is involved in some of the largest engineering projects in the world.

 

Job description

 

  • Capable of working under own initative.  
  • Capable of working within the J.B.Barry/Egis Quality System.
  • Capable of working with other design engineers and able to delegate work elements to technicians when necessary.

Profile

  • 2-5 years post-graduate experience with at least 2 in the flood risk/river modelling discipline.
  • Honours degree qualified in Civil Engineering Field(QII Level 8 Minimum).
  • Experience in preparing Flood Risk Assessments.
  • Experience in Hydraulic modelling using HEC-RAS(1D/2D Models, RAS Mapper), and ideally Flood Modeller.
  • Use of GIS Software and Data Management.
  • Experience in preparing Section 50 Applications
  • Experience in Hydrological Flow Estimation Techniques.
  • Honours degree qualified in Civil Engineering Field(QII Level 8 Minimum).
  • Experience in using Civil 3D to assist with analysis, design and reporting.
