Description de la mission

The Senegal Deputy Country Manager (E&C) is based in Dakar, Senegal and reports to the Senegal Country Manager. The Deputy Country Manager work involves managing all financial and administrative activities in the organization, acting as a point of contact between the Country Manager and stakeholders and providing insight into the most essential projects. He is responsible for ensuring success in all areas of the organization’s dealings. His primary duties include working behind the scenes to mediate disputes, finding solutions to problems and dealing with issues, before they are brought to the Country Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Assist the Country Manager in establishing and maintaining an effective organization structure and skills base to meet the plans and needs of the business in the short and longer term, maximizing cost effectiveness and contribution towards the global carbon neutrality
  • Assist the Country Manager for the planning, operation and growth of all Company business in the Country under their remit (including resources such as equipment, assets and people)
  • Assist the Country Manager the effective deployment and application of all Egis Domain strategies, including expanding client base and access to decision makers
  • To instigate, drive and take ultimate responsibility for continuous improvement initiatives that ensure the internal process within Country meet the needs of the business
  • As requested, assist the Country Manager for sales and marketing of the Company’s domains and services throughout the Country
  • Ensure regular communications with client representatives to ascertain business trends and client’s future requirements, as well as attitude to Egis contractual performance
  • Act as an escalation point for dispute resolution and conflict management at the project level
  • Responsible for maximizing financial results of the Country (Engineering & Consulting activities) including profit & loss, fixed assets, capital expenditure, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Establish forecast revenues, profit and working capital in accordance with prescribed guidelines and ensure effective teamwork to meet and exceed approved targets (Engineering & Consulting activities)
  • Establish and communicate budgets to managers per Engineering & Consulting project in order that the overall business plan is met and preferably exceeded.
  • Implement and enforce Egis’s Performance management system. Ensure all operations in country are conducted in full compliance with approved health, ethics and safety procedures, adhere to pre-planned project methodologies, policies and local legislation. Guarantee the Egis technical signature.
  • In good cooperation with the Country Manager, maintain customer and government relationships at all levels.
  • Manage the reduction of the internal carbon footprint for the country and the contribution to the group's extra-financial reporting.

Profil

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • Over seven years of experience in a business management role and a track record of department and team management
  • Experience performing tasks such as planning and leading strategic activities, budget preparation, budget management, data analysis and project coordination
  • A master’s degree in business administration, finance, engineering or similar field for consideration

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Proven Project Management and Quality participation and leadership
  • Strong business development and client relationship skills, track record and ability to focus on clients’ needs effectively and identify potential business partners.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, able to exercise independent judgment
  • Strong inter-personal skills, ability to interact effectively at a senior level and create sufficient trust and confidence with clients and partners
    Ability to motivate and develop staff
    Supportive with good communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to perform large group presentation
  • Prior financial P&L management preferred
    Knowledge of the Engineering and Construction industry
  • Strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize, manage and direct large teams in multiple departments
  • Strategic planning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize important tasks over others
  • Ability to motivate, coordinate and ensure proper time-management among reports
  • High degree of discretion, tact and sensitivity in dealing with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
