Business Line specific context

Egis are currently supporting the design and construction of early works and a joining infrastructure for a major energy project in Papua New Guinea. This position is scheduled to begin in August 2023 for a duration of 35 months.

Job description

·       Manages all pre- and post- contract activities for the assigned projects.

·       Interacts with the Client, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

·       Identify, negotiate and ensure Client’s agreement of change orders, amendments and etc to protect the Company’s interests in respect of the financial and legal liability issues associated with changed scope or requirements.

·       Collaborates with Client, provides technical guidance, and ensures proficiency and timeliness of contract administration.

·       Provide guidance and support to negotiation as well as management of key subcontracts.

·       Negotiates the more difficult, complex, or sensitive issues with clients.

·       Monitor performance of the project contract activities, analyze risk situations and take proactive control where required.

·       Interface with internal functions to evaluate contract compliance; consolidate and coordinate the information with appropriate stakeholders.

·       Communications within your team and across other teams (i.e., Design and Construction Teams) are essential

·       Under the responsibility of the Project Director, he/she will participate in the following tasks:

o   Structuring the Contract Management function by delivering guidelines and best practices,

o   Contribute to the definition of appropriate contract management tools and processes, and to adaptation of existing processes

o   Providing high-level operational support on high-stake contracts

Profile

•  Batchelor’s or Masters in relevant subject

• 10 years’ experience working in large construction with a preference for geotechnical or earlyworks CapEx projects and/or infrastructure projects in an operational and management function covering project management / project purchasing & contracting / projects controls (time-risk-cost) / large commercial contracts drafting and negotiation (buy & sell sides).

•  Strong analytical capacity of problematic situation in a complex environment

•  Excellent interpersonal skills with internal stakeholders by listening and proposing solutions and improvement scenario

• “Client-oriented” with the capacity to Develop and deploy a resolution methodology
