The LATAM C&O director is primarily in charge of developing all C&O activities in the region.
C&O activities encompasses Road O&M, Airport O&M, Rail O&M, Mobility Services O&M, Aviation Engineering, and Advisory.
Job purpose:
Responsible for leading the activities of the business line Consulting & Operations (C&O) within the sub-region Latin America (LATAM), aligned to the global Business line strategic plan, delivered through the regional network. Key element in connecting the LATAM sub-region and its clients to the global business line, and conversely with the region, and its specific market dynamics.
Principal activities:
Provide support to the business line in developing region based business plans for entire grouping of business sub services,
To establish and maintain a strong network across the industries stakeholders (clients, partners, advisors) in the region. Work closely with peers within the region to create and develop synergies across business lines.
Evaluate and plan for future market conditions and align the strategy to take advantage of any changes or opportunities, industry trends and break through innovations.
Be perceived as a clear leader of the business line in LATAM for business line and group key projects’ milestones (Go / No-Go, bids settlement meetings, projects in execution, specific action plans)
This position also plays a critical role to the C&O profit & loss achievements (projects profitability and DSO) thanks to participation to LATAM C&O Steering committee and relevant projects’ action plans.
Additional responsibilities include the development of the financial plans, marketing plans, project methodologies, technical and commercial leadership as well as project and business line staffing requirements and talent management.
The role requires close collaboration with the Country Managing Directors on one side, and the Service Line Directors on the other side, regional and business line commercial organization, tender units, communication and marketing team, finance, and accounting.
At least, 10 years of experience within the next activities:
- PPP projects in LATAM (business positioning and tender preparation).
- Technical and commercial knowledge of the business line activities or sub services.
- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, partnering. Skill in examining tenders, market conditions and operational requirements.
- Understanding of key financial business levers: profit & loss, cash management, budgeting, and cost control principles. Ability to build financial plans and manage resources. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Capability to analyze and comment financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Education: University and master’s degree
