Business Line specific context

Egis are currently supporting the design and construction of early works and a joining infrastructure for a major energy project in Papua New Guinea. This position is scheduled to begin in August 2023 for a duration of 35 months.

Job description

  • Manage planning and creating schedules and project timelines.
  • Construction Manager will supervise a team of experts to implement roads, bridges and buildings infrastructure.
  • Track deliverables, control subcontractors and suppliers to meet schedule, safety and quality objectives.
  • Attend all meetings including consultant, technical and subcontractor.
  • Resolve design site problems encountered during the construction period
  • Coordinating responsibilities of site engineers / site supervisors and sub-contractors.
  • Responsible for implementing the work plan of the Project Manager
  • Responsible for the execution and successful completion of the project
  • Ensure the efficient use of resources and cost effectiveness
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
  • Supervision and management of the project team
  • Interface with Project Management Team and Engineering Team.


  • Degree in Engineering (Civil and/or Structural) or Building
  • Minimum 15 years of practical working experience for implementation of roads, bridges, buildings projects, and 3 years’ experience as same position in a remote area
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • French language would be beneficial (not essential)
  • Previous international working experience in remote areas
