The Compliance Leader will have responsibility to lead the quality, environmental and health and safety department for Egis Ireland. 

Job description


  • Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and internal policies and procedures related to quality; protection of the environment; safety, health & welfare, data protection and ethics. 

  • Day-to-day management of our Information Management System (IMS)

  • Propose and implement improvements to the IMS in line with industry best practices and standards

  • Responsible for preparing the annual management review report and risks and opportunities registers 

  • Conducting internal audits and reviews in line with agreed schedule 
    Co-ordinating and supervising external certification and surveillance audits 

  • Ensure that all data protection policies and procedures are kept in line with all regulatory developments

  • Responsible for the coordination of mandatory training and keeping up to date training records 

  • Maintain, track and monitor training budget, plans & delivery schedule

  • Coordinate logistics of training including liaison with training providers, employees, managers & facilities etc.

  • Line management responsibility for H&S Advisor 



  • Third Level Qualification in a related discipline

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a compliance/operation or training-based role 

  • Solid understanding of risk and compliance principles and frameworks

  • Good understanding of ISO 9001:2015 & ISO standards
    Data protection experience and understanding of GDPR requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong report writing skills

  • Previous people management skills would be an advantage
