Job Responsibilities:

·        Reviewing project standards and documents to assure the submitted drawings and documents are compatible and aligned with the overall project objectives

·        Reviewing design build documents, drawings, calculations operating manuals and design books to ensure that it is in accordance with the client specifications

·        Reviewing contractor’s submittals such as material, construction methodologies, subcontractor prequalification documents and others

·        Supporting the Lead Civil and Senior Structural Engineer when preparing, reviewing and consolidating various reports including root cause analysis, investigation and engineering design status reports

·        Supporting Lead Civil Engineer and Senior Structural Engineers in maintaining budget, schedule and adherence to the agreed scope of work

·        Providing structural assistance to other multidisciplinary teams such as architectural, project controls and MEP

·        Liaising with the client and subcontractors to ensure the design work is delivered on time and to budget

·        Attending and overseeing witness acceptance inspections when required

·        Providing response to Request for Information (RFI)

·        Providing support to sites where design issues have arisen

·        Highlighting discrepancies and provide solutions to bring to a successful resolution 

Attending safety meeting and installation demonstration of proposed material

The successful candidate will play a key role in the structural design review process to assure consistency and quality in the structural design stage of the project. He/she will participate in a wide range of project activities covering structural design works in multidiscipline projects.

Work Experience:

·        Total of 15 years' experience.

·        Minimum 10 years' experience in GCC / Middle East.

·        Structural and Geotechnical experience in water and wastewater projects (Wet Utilities).

·        Experience in construction supervision and detailed design.

Education Qualification: 

Bachelor's in civil or Structural Engineering

Essential Skills:

·        Experienced with structural engineering software including SACS, Strucad, Ansys, Abaqus, Inventor, Nastran (Femap), SAP 2000

·        Proven experience working to tight deadlines within a changing environment

·        Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

·        Excellent judgment, assertiveness and diplomatic skills

·        Demonstrated ability in managing conflict in high-pressure situations

·        Must be fluent in English both written and spoken with an excellent capability in technical report writing as well as oral and written communication skills.

·         Professional level in using MS Office Suite is a must.
