The role is to support the Regional Business Line Director, Asia Transportation by leading and managing the front end of the business process – from Strategy, Business Development, Marketing, Sales and Bid process to Order Intake including lessons learnt to ensure both efficiency and effectiveness of the strategy, sales process & tools and communications applied across the BL in the region Asia.
Lead and support strategic initiatives and the development of new markets/business, with special emphasis on Major Projects in the railway Urban, InterCity and Structures Business Lines.
The role will manage the Bid/Commercial team and related resources working for the Business Line Transportation in the Asia perimeter.
Strategy
•Provide strategic guidance
•Develop new strategic business opportunities, lead and support major strategic projects
•Coordinate internally with the involved functions in the Region and Service Lines of the BL
•Monthly follow-up of strategic commitments (Performance Board)
•Compiling and sharing industry intelligence (competitors, Railway Road & Civil contractor, operators)
•Research and develop market intelligence (country, niche markets, ) and develop country strategies and potential market development and entry strategies
Commercial
•Managing the Business Development, Marketing, Bid and Sales Process (Go/No Go, Bid/No Bid) ensuring effective, efficient, and stringent adherence.
•Ensure the Consolidation of project pipeline (Commercial Plan, Order Intake) management and planning (Strategy, Budget, Forecast)
•Bid cost budget coordination and agreement on targets for regional BL Transportation (Order Intake, Marketing & Bid Cost)
•Chair of Commercial Meetings (monthly CORE, yearly internal Conference) for Asia BL Transportation
Bids
•Lead and Manage the Bid team and related processes (Go/No Go, Bid No Bid, bid production/pricing)
Develop and implement Gate Review Process for the marketing, sales & bid process in cooperation with the SYS Head of Bids
•Manage the Postmortem Process and develop lessons learnt
Communications
in coordination with the Com/Marketing team in Asia:
•Executive support (VIP events & conferences, material & content production etc..)
•Visual Identity & Branding
•Govern Events and Exhibitions
•Support the production Communications Materials for the BL Transportation in Asia
The candidate should have:
•Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the field of Transportation engineering and consultancy.
•Experience in Commercial, Strategy and Bid activities; Minimum 5 years in similar role.
•Demonstrates excellent communication and commercial drive.
•International experience.
•Good knowledge of Asia / South East Asia
•Leadership skills with willingness to lead, take on responsibilities and challenges.
•Excellent interpersonal skills.
•Fluent in English.
