EGIS Rail have a newly created position for a Systems Integration Manager that will be involved in various Rail projects. One of our biggest projects at present is the Cork Area Commuter Rail Programme. This project focuses on the Rail signalling and communications improvements which will facilitate the planned increases in rail capacity and service frequency, bolster the signalling system's reliability, and support Iarnród Éireann’s continued safe operation of the railway.

In rail our Irish team is well established, having designed Dublin’s first Luas (tram). We’re involved the metro in Riyadh, in Thessaloniki, the Grand Paris Express and the HS2 in the UK. We have over 140 active projects in Ireland this year, including several high-profile rail projects like the Dublin Luas extension, Cork

The purpose of this position is to assist the client Project Manager in the management of the project section through preliminary engineering for project definition and support the Project Manager in managing the regional consultant. You will be responsible for quality, on-time delivery of preliminary engineering design, reports, analyses, and related engineering and geotechnical documents.

Typical duties will include but not be limited to: 

• Support the management of the regional consultant responsible for the delivery of the preliminary engineering documents
• Assist in the development and management of scope, schedule, and budget for the delivery of the project section
• Liaise with all interdisciplinary teams

• Knowledge of various phases and functional responsibility of rail project and transportation infrastructure project development and delivery, federal and state contracting laws and regulations
• Design of major and complex transportation infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
