Egis Rail, a business line of the Egis Group, brings together all of the necessary expertise for guided urban transport and rail: systems, automation, rolling stock, safety, equipment, civil engineering, environment, etc. Egis Rail has led numerous successful projects on all continents, from preliminary design of public transport systems through to commissioning, and covering all aspects of testing and handover to clients.
The Role
The purpose of this position is to provide technical coordination with external parties related to design, environmental analysis, development, and support of third-party agreements. Provide support for Strategic Delivery, Regional Director, Engineering, Right-of-Way, Rail/Operations, and Station Planning teams in collaborating with partner agencies and cities throughout Northern California. With the Regional Director, represents the Authority in multi-agency cooperative environments including working groups associated with the Downtown Extension Project, the Diridon Integrated Station Concept Plan, and others.
Typical Duties include but are limited to:
· Review plans and proposals by others (such as grade separations, housing/commercial development, etc.)
· Evaluate impacts to the Authority’s project
· Support the development of materials (such as comment letters, design drawings, etc.) that are needed to ensure that the project is considered by external parties as they develop their proposals.
· Interface with Authority program controls for all Strategic Delivery contract financial information.
In order to be considered candidates must fulfil the following requirements:
· Knowledge of various phases and functional responsibility of rail project and transportation infrastructure project development and delivery, principals of project management, federal and state contracting laws and regulations.
· Knowledge of the following is of added value: Williamson Act.
· Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, transportation planning, construction management or equivalent.
· At least 10 years of experience with transportation projects and disciplines.
· Preferable to have experience with major federal and state funded transportation projects.
