As an integral part of Egis Group, the Business Unit MENS (Project Structuring, Operation and Services) develops and operates projects for public and private infrastructure and for tolling facilities. Through its worldwide presence, Egis has a unique know-how in managing complex transport infrastructure projects and electronic tolling services to create value for communities around the world.

Job description

Egis has been a renown PPP developer and road operator in the Philippines for over twenty years through the development of strong partnerships with main Pilipino private contractors companies and acquire a solid reputation with public transport authorities.

Our local activities also encompass the procurement and integration of electronic toll collection solutions on the main toll motorways of the country and in particular near the capital city Manila.

Egis group’s ambition is to develop the APAC market and has set up its regional base in Hong Kong.

The objective for our BU is to use the strong position we have in Philippines, the development of the group in the region, and our operational and reputational base to further develop its activities in the Philippines as well as in the ASEAN sub region.

 

MISSION & MAIN ACTIVITIES

You are expected to be a driven and goal oriented person, passionate about challenge of developing the market and operational projects for BU MENS activities in the Asean Sub Region.
The final objective is developing a sustainable business with a profit and loss responsibility, commerce driven with an efficient organisation and a proactive collaboration with the HQ of the BU, Egis APAC management (based in Hong-Kong) as well as other Egis entities.
As the main representative of Egis BU MENS in ASEAN, you are committed to comply with the three Codes of Ethics, Integrity and Human Resources Management Code, internal rules, all local regulations and Health & Safety rules that apply in for the BU MENS activities.


As such, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing the different activities of Egis BU MENS in the Philippines via new concessions, infrastructure (road, airport, potentially ports, rail, cable car etc.) contracts, urban and mobility services, road user services in line with the strategic orientations.  This also includes leading or providing support in the identification of potential targets for acquisition, the establishment of relationships with partners, the preparation of related tenders, the negotiation of relevant contracts, and/or the supervision, execution or follow up of such contracts
  • Representing Egis BU MENS in the Philippines, and managing the relationship with the key partners and clients
  • Representing Egis within the various management and board committees of its project entities in the Philippines.
  • Ensuring the whole management of the Egis BU MENS subsidiary in Philippines including : operations (system integration and tolling operation), reporting to BU MENS HQ and to the APAC Region, and all  ethics & EH&S process of the group in the Philippines in respect of the BU’s activities.
  • Participating in the construction of the strategy and the commercial action plan of the BU
  • Be the main point of contact for our BU for business development in the region, in close coordination with the APAC regional organisation of group (regular travel to Hong Kong will be necessary)

 

Profile

Technical Competencies:

▬    Graduate or equivalent (engineering, economic, financial, accounting and / or commercial background)

▬    Preferably a minimum of 15 years of professional experience

▬    Ability to understand and provide strategic added-value for different types of businesses related to the target services.

▬    Understand IT evolutions and  IT challenges in the context of a software development center and BU MENS activities

▬    Ability to work in an international environment

▬    Speak, read and write English fluently

 

Commercial Competencies:

▬    Builds and maintain strong and lasting partnerships and alliances with strategic players : customers, partners, decision-makers

▬    Identify and qualify new project for the BU in line with our development strategy

▬    Conduct negotiations

▬    Conveys a positive  and professional corporate image of the group through his behavior and message in all situations, internally or externally

▬    Capacity to create an atmosphere conducive to interaction and productivity

▬    Derives best practices to be replicated and lessons to be learned, from individual and/or group feedback

▬    Smoothes/enhances business relationships and efficiency within all Egis subsidiaries in the Philippines and between those subsidiaries and other Egis representatives

 

Management Competencies:

▬    Leadership experience in an international environment

▬    Be accountable : forecasts business and organization in the  medium term (organization of management, production and support processes, strategic alliances, financial and human resources) with respect to targets, in strategy and profitability

▬    Provides employees with support, keeping in line with HR policy, as they develop their skills and reconciling entity

▬    Sets appropriate and objective performance indicators, making it possible to measure the strategy’s degree of implementation and relevance with own scope, which will be used as the foundation for reporting
