In Philippines, the growing Egis transportation team undertakes several design and commissioning projects such as project management, detailed design assignments, system assurance planning, systems integration, independent engineering checking, independent safety assessments, and safety cases on urban railway projects. For private and public clients, it is responsible for the quality and timely delivery of railway projects in Philippines and the Pacific region.

In working on the mass transit projects of tomorrow, the Systems Assurance Engineer works across a wide range of projects, within teams of international and national experts. You participate in the completion of projects upon international standards and coordinates with domestic and international teams as needed.

Job description

·    The Systems Assurance Engineer supports the systems assurance, safety cases, adequate plans and other assignments for metro, LRT, tram and monorail projects in Philippines and the Pacific Region. With autonomy, s.he undertakes the following tasks are:

-        Perform System Assurance activities, e.g. as hazard analysis, RAM analysis, Risk assessment, hazard management, Conduct workshop with design team, safety validation, etc.

-        Prepare System Assurance deliverables, e.g. System Assurance Plan, Safety Plan, RAM Plan, PHA report, Safety case, Hazard log, etc.

-        Regularly communicate with the relevant parties (suppliers, designer, consortium, users) to ensure the SA activities have been performed as planned and the required inputs/outputs are sufficient for each particular phase of project.

-        Ensure System Assurance deliverable schedule is followed.

-        Facilitate and/or attend audits, correct any non-conformance and address any observations.

-        Prepare and chair System Assurance meetings with the relevant parties to address any issues related to progress and/or interfaces affecting the scope of the works.

-        Coordinate with the Independent Safety Assessor (ISA) when needed.

-        Maintain SA-related communication with the local Client, e.g. arranging meeting, conducting workshop, etc.

-        Working closely with Regional Technical Center to maintain a good quality of work by aligning the method/approach when performing the task, requesting peer review, and developing new skills.

·    Additionally, the Systems Assurance Engineer covers in support of the team Systems Assurance team the preparation and management of tender including but not limited to technical proposals and risk assessments.

·    You required to punctually support the management by reporting meetings, assist with planning and resources management, methodology for proposals and others. Other responsibilities can later be considered, namely on high-level systems engineering and safety cases for more upstream assignments such as feasibility studies.

Profile

-    Bachelor or Master from a reputable university in industrial, electronic, transport engineering or related fields.

-    Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal, written)

-    Ease with all regular office software (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) is required

-    Familiar with Railway System Assurance and RAMS process in accordance with EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, and Common Safety Method (CSM) and/or equivalent standards

-    International experience is a strong advantage

-    Experience with DOORS and/or ComplyPro is a plus but not essential
